Breaking the Binary Theatre’s Cloud Nine Zine is designed by Vi Dang (they/she) and features commissioned work by more than 30 transgender, non-binary, and Two-Spirit+ theatermakers.

2025 commissioned artists include Ari Notartomaso (they/he), Azure D. Osborne-Lee (he/they), Bazeed (they/them), D.A. Mindell (he/him), Futaba (he/him), Garnet Williams (she/they), Jayne Deely (they/them), Justin David Sullivan (he/she/they), Mobéy Lola Irizarry (they/she), and Tristan B Willis (they/them). Each artist was awarded a $1,000 commission to create their original work.

2024 commissioned artists include: Anonymous, b (they/them), Dena Igusti (they/them), Diana Oh "Zaza D" (they/them), Else Went (she/herself), Ianne Fields Stewart (they/she), Jay Délise (they/them), Rad Pereira (they/them), Spencer James Weidie (they/them), and Will Shishmanian (he/him). Each artist was awarded a $1,000 commission to create their original work.

Also featured in the Cloud Nine Zine are Instagram commissions from BTB’s inaugural 2023 Cloud Nine commission campaign. These inaugural artists include L Morgan Lee (she/her), Roger Q. Mason (they/them), Nora Schell (they/them), Ty Defoe (he/we/ty), and more. The zine concludes with a final section highlighting BTB artists and their existing work or upcoming engagements.

The Cloud Nine Zine was exclusively announced on Playbill on Sunday, March 31, 2024 - International Transgender Day of Visibility.
