2025 ONLINE SUMMER INTENSIVE

Breaking the Binary Theatre's Summer Intensive program is back for the third year in a row, and this year… we’re going digital!

Led by L Morgan Lee (she/her), the third installment of BTB's Summer Intensive will be facilitated via Zoom in an effort to further expand Breaking the Binary Theatre’s programming outside of New York and reach more transgender, non-binary, and Two-Spirit+ (TNB2S+*) artists around the country.

Each of the nine selected TNB2S+ performers will first work with L Morgan one-on-one via Zoom on Monday July 28, Monday August 4, or Monday August 11 for a 90-minute coaching session. Then, all nine students will showcase their work to their fellow Intensive participants in a final group Zoom session on Monday August 18. Selected participants will have the opportunity to work with L Morgan to find and develop a more personal connection to their repertoire, helping gain confidence in audition materials, and hone in on their craft and artistry.

BTB is proud to subsidize the cost of the program for each participant, meaning the Summer Intensive is free for all participants.

The deadline to submit is 11:59pm ET on Sunday, July 13th. All applicants will be notified by 11:59pm ET by Monday, July 21st with an update on their submission (whether they are selected or not).

Each of the nine participants will be selected based on facility with storytelling, authenticity of self and ones artistry, and passion. There are no other requirements. Applicants from all levels of skill and artistry within the TNB2S+ community are encouraged to apply should the resources provided be of interest.
