Community building

Alongside Breaking the Binary Theatre’s artistic endeavors, we continue building community throughout the year via community events and gatherings to remain in dialogue with BTB artist alumni and further expand the BTB community and overall TNB2S+ theatrical landscape.

Community Events & TNB2S+ Affinity Nights

BTB Theatre hosts a number of community events throughout the year wherein TNB2S+ artists can mingle and expand their networks in spaces created specifically by and for us.

On select productions with TNB2S+ creatives or gender-related themes, Breaking the Binary Theatre engages with the presenting partners in building TNB2S+ Affinity Nights to ensure artists from our community have access to productions supporting and amplifying our community (via complimentary or subsidized ticket offers).

Thus far, Breaking the Binary Theatre has partnered with Roundabout Theater Company, New York Theatre Workshop, LCT3, and a number of other commercial or non-profit partners to host events and provide access to their productions for the BTB community.
